I have never before this heard a show where when the band walks off I find literally no need for an encore. And yet they come back for more. That should
...
say it all.
Greatest Terrapin ever performed. Ever. The Terrapin is the energy of the entire tour coalescing into one living, breathing being. Bird Song is up there too!
So, so, so, so, so exceptionally glad and privileged that STELLAR audio and great video exist for this show, providing a performance that can be enjoyed for a millennia. Thank you Phil. I hope you release the rest of the soundboards from the Q days, this is a treat. Hoping to donate some blood later this week :)

Yes, This show was as perfect as any I saw.
'The Q' was indeed aweso9me..
As the reviewer below states, 'Good Times Bad Times' was improved. Phil turned ... and looked at Warren: "WTF?" ~ lol...too funny.
They really did not continue doing it on the rest of the tiour as this was the last night of the tour, but the next time back in New York, at Jones Beach on 7/26/01, they did a longer St Stephen > GTBT > St Stephen that was certainly reheared. And at 17 minutes, is certainly the greatest St Stephen EVER (GD or otherwise) Check it.
Also, I'd like to add to the comment from the first reviwer who says it's not the Dead.
No, it's not.
You didn't have to sit there through 10-12 often boring stand alone songs before hallway through the second set for the jamming to begin: P&F gave it to you from start to finish with TWO world class guitarists who weren't jonesed out on heroin for the last decade.
And playing all the great stuff Jerry wouldn't bother playing any longer.

sound/recording: flawless
jamming/enegry level/peaks: literally epic
those of you who DL'd this show know exactly why. any phil head who doesn't have ... this show is lost without it. EVERYTHING is amazing... i can't even mention peaks or highlites because it's perpetual in just about every single goddamn jam. i was close enough to tap on the stage and felt like someone had spiked my drink with methadone it felt so good seeing them.
interesting fact: the st. stephen>good times bad times was completely improv and phil, rob, and john's faces were grinning from ear to ear when warren and jimmy went with it. they turned this st stephen>gtbt into a regular thing for a while that tour because of that moment.
the help>slip>franklin's tower is the best i've ever heard.
soulshine: i don't even like this song but herring and haynes trickle in and out in a cooperative battle of beautiful sounds.
this is an absolute must for anyone with ears.

I personaly think Phil and Friends can sound pretty corny at times......but this setlist makes up for shity vocals ect.....best phil show ive heard......just
...
keep in mind this isnt the dead and it def. shows in the vocals and general corniess of execution......the jams are good though
